"There are many ways of practicing the healing art; but there is only one way that Heaven approves. God's remedies are the simple agencies of nature, that will not tax or debilitate the system through their powerful properties. Pure air and water, cleanliness, a proper diet, purity of life, and a firm trust in God, are remedies for the want of which thousands are dying; yet these remedies are going out of date because their skillful use requires work that the people do not appreciate. Fresh air, exercise, pure water, and clean, sweet premises, are within the reach of all, with but little expense; but drugs are expensive, both in the outlay of means, and the effect produced upon the system."

•  FIRST DO NO HARM (PRIMUM NON NOCERE)
• Part of the Hippocratic Oath is to do no harm. Naturopaths do not use harmful substances, such as drugs and pharmaceuticals, and do not resort in dangerous procedures, such as surgery. They use natural substance such as herbs, natural vitamins, minerals and food supplements.          

• ASCERTAIN THE CAUSE (TOLLE CAUSAM)
• Disease is an effort of nature to free the system from conditions that results fromthe violation of the laws of health. In case of sickness, the cause must be ascertained. Unhealthful conditions should be changed, wrong habits corrected. Then nature is to be assisted in her effort to expel impurities and re-establish right conditions within the system. (Ministry of Healing, p. 127)

• CLEANSE THE BLOOD AND THE GUT SYSTEM

  "Dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all the filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (2 Cor. 7:1)

  There can be no healing without a clean blood; disease never comes without a cause. In most cases, toxemia is the cause of many diseases. Bacteria and viruses thrive in a toxic blood. When the colon is clogged with putrefied fecal matter, the system is auto-intoxicated. “For [it is] the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Colon cleansing and detoxification is the first and foremost line of defense to our immune system.

• DOCTOR MEANS TEACHER (DOCERE)

  A Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) is NOT a Medical Doctor (M.D.). Naturopath does not heal disease. The term “doctor” means teacher from the Latin word “docer.” This means that one of the important functions of the doctor is to teach the client/patients the best ways of avoiding disease. Patients have to be enlightened as to the nature and causes of their maladies, help them achieve a state of balance (homeostasis) and remain healthy into the future. According to Dr. Linus Pauling, two time Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry--Says "Every sickness, diseases and human ailments can be traced to a mineral difficiency."

• THE HEALING POWER OF NATURE (VIS MEDICATRIX NATURAE)
• Naturopathic practitioners trust that the body has the inherent ability to establish, maintain, and restore health. The healing process is ordered and intelligent, nature heals through the response of the life force. The physician’s role is to facilitate and augment this process and act to identify and remove obstacles to health and recovery, and to support the creation of a healthy internal and external environment

       The scope of practice of naturopathic physiciens/physicians does not include any mechanical or body based practices nor electrotherapy, phototherapy and mind-spirit practices.

      The practice of the Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) or traditional naturopaths includes the following: (1) Nutritional Counseling and (2) The practice of analytical nutritional biochemical sciences such as: irido-pathology (iridology), functional hematology (live and dry blood), functional immunology and functional endocrinology, traditional gynecology, reams urinalysis, thermography, hair mineral analysis, oxidative stress test and computerized analyzers . (3) Health analysis based on quantum physics as follows: Kinesiology body field analysis or computerized body field analysis (Magnetic Reasonance Analyzer) . (4) Material sciences of healing as follows: Naturopathy, nutrition, dietetics, phytotherapy, orthomolecular nutrition, homeopathy, nutritional psycotherapy, nutritional lymph therapy, oral chelation therapy, colon hydrotherapy, and cold laser inflammation reduction therapy.

      External applications with natural substances as follows: Hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, neuro-reflexology, sunlight therapy, fresh air therapy, exercise therapy, rest therapy and detoxification therapy.
